The Residence by Investment Policy allows foreign nationals to gain permanent residence in New Zealand by investing in the country.
The required investment amount depends on the type of NZ investment class chosen by the applicant. You must invest at least NZD 5 million in high-risk investments. If you invest up to NZD 15 million, you can put half in listed equities and the other half in philanthropy (lower risk). You can select a mix of approved investment options for values ranging from NZD 7.5 million to NZD 11.25 million. Funds must be invested and managed in New Zealand currency.
